1. Application and Enrolment: To be enrolled in the courses at SchoolScape, centre for educators, the application form is to be completed by the student seeking admission. The Centre will confirm whether or not the enrolment has been accepted. An interview will be part of the admission process. Formal enrolment documentation will be sent once the admission has been given.
  2. Payment of fees for tuition to be paid at one time once admission has been granted, before the commencement of the course. If payment has not been made in full by the due date, the Centre will charge interest at the rate of 2% per month on the outstanding balance till the date of payment. If payment is overdue the Centre reserves the right to suspend or cancel admission and/or stop any further interaction with the training course.
  3. Payment reference must be provided by the student so that the Centre can identify funds on safe arrival into our account and tally with the payment made by the student.
  4. No pending dues to be there, either for stationery, materials or any other head of account at the time of the examinations. The student will not be allowed to attend the examination if any dues are pending.
  5. Provision of programme: The Centre reserves the right to withdraw from offering a particular programme or a subject within a programme at any time, giving reasonable notice wherever possible, and may provide a suitable alternative programme or subject wherever possible.
  6. Fee increases: The Centre reserves the right to increase the fees at any time however tuition fee increases will not apply in cases where the fees have already been paid.
  7. Expenses: The Centre regrets that it cannot extend credit to students. All additional services (trips, examination fees, materials, etc) must be paid for in advance if the Centre so requests. Any invoiced expenses will be due for payment within fourteen days.
  8. Cancellation and Refund: The school will charge the student 25% of the course fee and the remaining amount will be refunded if a student leaves the course before the commencement of the course. No refund of fees will be made if a student leaves the course once the course has commenced.
  9. Penalties and fines
    1. The student is liable for any breakages, loss or damage caused by the student to the premises in which the student is being taught or is living in accommodation organised by the Centre.
    2. Breakages, loss or damage in shared rooms or common work areas are considered the joint responsibility of the students in occupation, and will be recovered as such, unless an individual student accepts responsibility for such damage caused, even if an accident.
    3. The Centre may impose a penalty or fine for other forms of misconduct such as contravening health & safety regulations or infringing Centre policy.
  10. Personal property: The Centre does not accept responsibility or liability whatsoever, including liability through the acts, omissions or negligence of its employees, agents or assignees for the student’s personal property, and the student is advised to take out personal insurance to cover any loss or damage to personal property which may occur while the student is at the Centre although the student, parents, guardians or caretakers of the student, or the fee payer should take independent advice on the content of such policies before committing themselves.
  11. Publicity: By enrolling with the Centre, the student, parents, guardians or caretakers for the student, or the fee payer, consent to the reasonable use of the student’s details and academic achievements, including images or recordings of the student howsoever made, for advocacy purposes.
  12. Data protection: Any information provided to the Centre may be held in the data base and shall be used by the Centre in accordance with its data protection practices and the data protection principles.
  13. Liability: The Centre shall not be liable for either death or personal injury suffered by any student except as may arise through the gross and willful negligence of the Centre. Parents and the student agree to notify the Centre of special dietary needs, allergies or other medical conditions where special arrangements have to be made. Parents and students also agree that the Centre may administer any non-prescription medication or first aid as is deemed appropriate and to seek medical, dental or optical treatment when required.
  14. Reservation of rights
    The Centre reserves the following rights:

    1. to alter the content, nature and venue of a Programme at any time
    2. to alter the details of any published information at any time
    3. to alter method of payment if deemed necessary at any time
  15. Attendance: Every student has to mandatorily have 90% attendance to be qualified to appear for the examination. The students taking the Audit Course need to have 60% attendance of the whole course to appear for the theory exam.
  16. Diploma
    The diploma will be awarded to the candidate who has successfully passed the examination and completed all prescribed requirements. This diploma qualifies the holder to apply the Montessori pedagogy to the education of children between 6 years to 12 years of age, but not that of children under 6 years, or over 12 years of age, nor to impart training in the Montessori pedagogy to adults in any form. It also entitles the holder to use the name “Montessori” for the group of children in his/her charge provided it is fully equipped, directed and organized, according to the requirements of the Montessori principles as elaborated during the course of training.Please note that the diploma will be handed over ONLY to the STUDENT and to no other person or institution.In case the student is unable to come for the graduation ceremony for whatever reason, it will be posted to him or her at the address given in the admission documents.
  17. Confidentiality Clause: All terms and conditions of this Agreement and any materials provided in the course shall be kept confidential by the student. Disclosing or using this information for any purpose beyond the scope of this Agreement is expressly forbidden without the prior consent of the school. All content and learning materials are the property of SchoolScape. Students are allowed to use the course material for their own learning purpose and practice thereof and not for any independent training or commercial activity.
  18. Copyright Ownership: The copyright or patent for any work product, including creative work, instructional strategies or curriculum/instructional material, software is protected by the intellectual property laws, including copyright, trade secret, and patent law. All rights not granted to you herein are expressly reserved by SchoolScape.
  19. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
    1. In the event of differences or disputes arising between the parties in regard to this Agreement shall be adjudicated through arbitration in accordance with the arbitration and conciliation Act in force be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The arbitration shall be conducted in English and the place of arbitration shall be Bengaluru.
    2. The courts at Bengaluru alone shall have jurisdiction over all matters of this agreement.
